Open Mobile Mapping View from Map 2D

Tabs > Mobile Mapping > Select

Click the Select button (from the Mobile Mapping top toolbar) and Click a position or Click and Drag on the MapCanvas to open an Image (Panorama / Planar) or 3D point cloud view inside the Mobile Mapping tab.

When the Select button is clicked, Place Point will appear in the Map Statusbar as activated function. As long as Place Point is active, all actions below can be performed.

Pan Mode vs Measure Mode

To open the desired view at once, some intelligent methods are implemented. The behavior is slightly different depending the activated function inside the Mobile Mapping tab :

Pan : The pan function is active. The cursor appears as hand when hovering above a Mobile Mapping View
Measure : The Mobile Mapping measure window is opened or an Asset Inventory Add Item procedure has been started. The cursor appears as cross when hovering above a Mobile Mapping View :
- Measure using Point Cloud : the Use point cloud box is enabled.
- Measure via Triangulation : the Use point cloud box is disabled.

Below describes the actions in combination with pan or measure to open Mobile Mapping views from the MapCanvas. Depending on which combination of Mobile Mapping data you are using:

Using Images and Point Cloud data

Action	Pan Mode	Measure using Point Cloud	Measure via Triangulation
Click photo position	Add image as new view. The heading will be oriented to the north.
Click photo position and drag	Add image as new view in specified direction.
Click elsewhere on the map	Close all opened views and add the 3 nearest images as new new views oriented to the clicked position.	Close all opened views and add the nearest image as new view oriented to the clicked position.	Close all opened views and add the 2 nearest images as new views oriented to the clicked position.
Click and drag elsewhere on the map	Add 3D point cloud view at clicked position, with specified direction.

Using Point Cloud data only

Action		Pan Mode	Measure using Point Cloud	Measure via Triangulation
Click elsewhere on the map		Add 3D point cloud view at clicked position oriented to the north.
Click and drag elsewhere on the map		Add 3D point cloud view at clicked position, with specified direction.

Using Images only

Action		Pan Mode	Measure using Point Cloud	Measure via Triangulation
Click photo position		Add image as new view. The heading will be inherited from last opened image view. If no view is open, the new view will be oriented to the north.
Click photo position and drag		Add image as new view in specified direction.

Close Views

Close One Panorama

Close one opened Panorama by clicking its reference number on the Panorama Side functions.

Close All Panoramas

Close all opened image by clicking the “clear all” button from the Panorama Top toolbar.
