Raster Processing
The Raster Processing Extension to Orbit GIS adds advanced raster processing tools to Orbit GIS.
The visualisation of rasters is part of Orbit GIS itself and as such doesn't require the Raster Processing extension.
Orbit GIS defines a raster as a single-band image.
Tools
- Contour Extraction - extract vector contours from a raster or image band
- XRef Table Generator - calculates the cross-reference between 2 rasters or image bands
- Raster Algebra - generates new rasters by combining samples of of multitude of rasters or image bands using some formula

As of version 4.3 support for the following formats comes standard with Orbit GIS :
- Erdas IMG
- ERMapper ERS
- Idrisi RST
- ESRI FLT
