Introduction
Photo Locator allows you to :
Explore your GPS-tagged photos in Google Earth without having to publish them to an online service!
Export your images to the Google Earth KMZ format
Export your images to any GIS system that supports the Shape format
Tutorial
Open a Directory
First step is to select a directory containing photographs.
Edit Project Name
Next edit the project name.
When exporting to Google Earth, the project name is configured as the name of your placemarks file.
When exporting to Shape, the project name is added to each object.
Open or Export
Now open or export the images!
Exporting to Google Earth :
Note on Vector Files
Orbit PhotoLocator can also integrate RICOH Memo attributes into the exported shape file.
Make sure the .MTA file (defining the attributes) is present in the same directory when exporting!.
Note on Google Maps
If you place .kmz files somewhere online, you can view them in Google Maps by filling in the address to the kmz file as a google maps search location!
