Print and Export

Probably the most import tools of any software application are these to create your deliverables, to export your data.
This page lists all print and export functions.

Main Toolbar > Print Orbit includes a simple but effective printing function. It simply duplicates your view onto your printer of choice.
Map > Layout The Print Layout is the combination of the MapView and additional print graphics and tools to Print your map.
Export View as Image Export the current map view as georeferenced image to any supported image file format using the right click Map Context Menu.
Copy View to Clipboard Copy the current map view to the clipboard ready to be pasted where you want using the right click Map Context Menu.

Export Datasets

Save Dataset As Save the selected dataset (image or vector resources) with another name but using the same storage format and resource specifications (e.g. image compression).
Export Dataset To Export the selected dataset (vector resources only) and specify file name and storage format.
To export an image resource use the Convert Image tool.
Export Selection as a Dataset Export set of selected objects (vector data only) as new dataset (supported storage formats).
Add Buffer as a new Dataset Use the Buffer Tool to create a buffer from an existing object, export the created buffer as a new dataset.

Export Attribute information

Export Attribute Table List Export the selected Attributes from the Dataset Attribute Table view.
Export Orbit Object List The Orbit Object List (.ool) is a file that contains a set of objects. This set of objects can consist of objects from different models and even different datasets.

Other Exports and Convert tools

Convert Image Format The Convert Image Format Tool makes it possible to convert supported image files to another supported image format in Orbit.
Make Multiresolution Image Use this tool to convert large images to a Multiresolution format ( OMI or Orbit Multiresolution Image ).
Make Symbol Library Image Make an image file from a symbol library in Orbit.
Make Legend Display Image Make an image file from the legend display of a dataset.
