Workspace Sidebar

The Workspace Sidebar allows to switch between different Layouts \ Quick Screen Style and add backdrops.

There are several different layouts available:

• Single View: allows to open one data view, Reference View can not be opened in a 'Single View' screen style.
• Top Base Map: opens Reference View on top and data views on the bottom.
• Left Base Map: opens Reference View on the left and data views on the right.
• Floating Base Map: opens Reference View in the right down corner. Dimensions can be extended to a bigger fixed size.
• Oblique: opens 4 views around the centralized Reference View.
• Horizontal: rearranges the open views horizontally without a reference view.
• Vertical: rearranges the open views vertically without a reference view.
• Tiled: rearranges the open views tiled without a reference view.

Dimensions of the base map view can not be extended.

The 3D Backdrops are designed for aesthetic purposes. A bright blue sky on the horizon speaks more to the imagination than a flat dark background, certainly when creating a point cloud fly-through movie.

Choose one of the listed backdrop images from the list. The selected image will be highlighted with a frame. The chosen backdrop will be applied to all open views in 3D viewmode.
