Orbit Publisher Update 21.X

Preparations

For preparations, see server_update.

Steps to Update from 20.X to 21.X

Hereby the procedure to update the Orbit Server Setup from version 20.X to the latest released version
The procedures to install the previous update is available, see Previous Versions.

Stop Orbit Service

  1. Close all Orbit Desktop Clients.
  2. Stop the Orbit Service.
    • Run batch : <install_folder>/server/program/bin64/ServiceStop.bat.
  3. Verify the Operating System Services and the current status of “Orbit Enterprise Service”.

Remove Orbit Client

  1. Delete following folders :
    • <install_folder>/client
The Catalog Client is no longer included in the 3DM Publisher installation and has been replaced with a standalone installer 3dm_import_and_upload_tool. Consult the Orbit GT Portal to review your added license for this product.

Update Orbit Server

  1. Delete following folders :
    • <install_folder>/server/program/log/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/services/dox
    • <install_folder>/server/program/software/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/wwwroot/viewer/
  2. Merge folders and Replace existing files :
    • Copy folder <update_package>/server/program/
    • Paste into <install_folder>/server/
  3. Rename the license configuration file
    • Rename file : <install_folder>/server/program/system/licenses_vXX.X.ini
    • Into : <install_folder>/server/program/system/licenses_v21.[X].ini (e.g. filename licenses_v21.1.ini for version 21.1)

Start Orbit Enterprise Service

  1. Start the Orbit Service.
    • Run batch : <install_folder>/server/program/bin64/ServiceStart.bat.
  2. Verify the Operating System Services and the current status “Running” of the “Orbit Enterprise Service”.
  3. Empty Cash and Hard Reload of the used browser when opening the Console.
