3DM Cloud Console

To open the console, browse to https://3dmapping.cloud/console/

• Users with a Bentley IMS account or an Orbit login can log in to the console.

Resources need to be well-prepared prior to upload. Via Orbit 3DM Import and Upload Tool or Orbit 3DM Content Manager resources can be imported and optimized.

The Named User that uploaded the resource becomes the Resource Owner. Once a resource is uploaded it is directly available in the 3DM Viewer and the access permission is set to 'Private'. The access is restricted to Resource Owner and higher ranked user roles (Resource Manager, Administrators, and Account Owner).

Resources can be shared with individual Users and Teams within the organization or with another organization.

My Catalog lists the resources to which a Named User has a explicit permission, resources from outside the organization can be included here.

Company Catalog lists all the resources (Uploaded or linked from ContextShare) owned by from the Organisation.

Access to the Company Catalog is restricted to Resource Manager and higher ranked users.

Individual Resources gives an overview of the resources uploaded by named users.

This page is only available when logged in using Bentley IMS.

Under Company Catalog is a list of ContextShare Projects shared with your organization. Access is restricted to Resource Manager and higher ranked user roles.

For each project, a list of ContextShare resources is available which can have different states :

• Toggled off and resource is active: The resource can be linked and used in 3DM Cloud. You will become owner of the resource.
• Toggled on and resource is active: You are the owner of the resource and you can unlink it.
• Toggled on but the resource is grayed out: The resource was linked by someone else. Go to the specs&tags page of the resource and become owner to unlink the resource.
• Toggled off and resource is inactive: This resource cannot be linked, it is not supported by 3DM Cloud.

ContextShare Resources gives an overview of the resources that are linked from ContextShare.

The Resource Groups page lists resource groups owned by the organisation.

• Use Resource Groups to open multiple resources as one in a Publication.
• Only homogeneous resources can be placed into one Resource Group.
• For performance reasons, limit the number of resources to 10-50.

• 3D Models can be added to use as an annotation in the 3D Mapping Viewer.
• Annotations can be added to a publication.

• The preferences are used when a named user opens a publication or the personal workspace. This is not the case when a publication is opened in edit mode.
