The IOS stands for Internet Orbit Service. It is a service providing easy internet access to data on the server. It does so by implementing these technologies :
A HTTP 1.1 server
WMS 1.1.0 operations
XML operations (extensible in Java)
The XML operations allow FlashMap to implement object selection and startup operations.
