3DM Cloud Console

To open the console, browse to https://3dmapping.cloud/console/

• Users with a Bentley IMS account or an Orbit login can log in to the console.

Resources need to be well-prepared before upload. Via iTwin Capture Import and Upload Tool or iTwin Capture Manager and Extract, resources can be imported and optimized.

The Named User that uploaded the resource becomes the Resource Owner. Once a resource is uploaded it is directly available in the Orbit 3DM Viewer and the access permission is set to 'Private'. The access is restricted to Resource Owner and to higher ranked user roles (Resource Manager, Administrators, and Account Owner).

Resources can be shared with individual Users and Teams within the organization or with another organization. From the Resource's Specs and Tags, it is possible Edit and Update Metadata, as well as use resources as Linear References.

From Version 24.04.00 onward, its possible to edit the footprint symbology for resources. This allows for new possibilities to view and display data. By this customization, there is now a visual distinction between resources. Extra benefits come from the both defining resource footprint colors and using Resource Groups.

Here you can find a list of all Resources of Publications your user account has access to.

• Any type of resources : individual resources, resource groups or ContextShare-linked resources.
• Resources you uploaded yourself
• Resources that have been shared with you individually.
• Resources that have been shared with your organisation.

• Publications you created yourself
• Publications that have been shared with you individually.
• Publications that have been shared with your organisation.

Here you can find a list of all Resources of Publications that are owned by the Organisation.
This section is only available to users with the Resource Manager role.

Here you can find a list of all Resources stored in the Orbit Cloud.

• Only resources uploaded by Named Users (owned by the Organisation).
• Does not contain Resource Groups

In the top-right corner, you can track the storage space available to the Organisation.

Here you can find a list of iTwin projects available to the Organisation.
This page is only available when logged in using Bentley IMS.

For each project, you can also manage which resources are available for the users of your Organisation.
Each resource can have one of the following states :

• Enabled + Toggled Off: The resource is not available. It can be linked and made available in 3DM Cloud by you. You will become owner of the resource.
• Enabled + Toggled On: The resource is linked and available. It can be unlinked by you (you are the owner).
• Disabled + Toggled On: The resource was linked by someone else. Go to the specs&tags page of the resource and become owner to unlink the resource.
• Disabled + Toggled Off: The resource cannot be linked, it is not supported by 3DM Cloud.

This page is only available when logged in using Bentley IMS.

• 3D Models can be added to use as an annotation in the 3D Mapping Viewer.
• Annotations can be added to a publication.
