Install Orbit Mobile Mapping Asset Inventory Client Server Update 11.0.X to 11.1.0

This page describes the installation of the update for the Orbit Mobile Mapping Asset Inventory Client Server from version 11.0 to 11.1.
If you have an older version, please contact the Orbit Support (support@orbitgt.com).

Inform the Orbit team when you plan to do the update to ensure their availbity for technical support and license processing (sales):

This update is free of charge when having a valid software maintenance contract. Contact sales@orbitgt.com for any question.

• Respect exactly the order as listed below
• Take your time

Take a backup of the folders:

• ..\client\program
• ..\server\program

• Download the files below from the FTP:
  • FTP: ftp.orbitgt.com
  • Login: Orbit_Installers
  • pw: Orbit!!
  • Filename: Orbit MM Asset Inventory - Update 11.0.X to 11.1.0 YYYYMMDD.zip
• Unzip

• Close all Clients
• Stop and Remove service “Orbit Entreprise Service”:
  • ..\server\program/bin64 > ServiceStop.bat & ServiceRemove.bat

• Delete folders:
  • ..\client\program\jre64
  • ..\client\program\software
  • ..\client\program\users
• Merge folders and Copy and Replace files by the files from the download folder:
  • ..\client\program

• Delete folders:
  • ..\server\pogram\bin64\log
  • ..\server\program\jre64
  • ..\server\program\software
  • ..\server\program\users
• Delete files:
  • ..\server\program\system\licenses_*.ini (all lincenses_*.ini files)
• Merge folders and Copy and Replace files by the files from the download folder:
  • ..\server\program
• Update extension Mobile Mapping:
  • ..\server\program\services\system_workspace\extensions\mobile_mapping.ini:

    DisplayName=Mobile Mapping Core

Custom server configurations might be reset by defaults

• Service Java memory setting (default 8192)
  • ..\server\program\bin64\ServiceInstall.bat
• Publication language setting (default english)
  • ..\server\program\services\publisher\publication_template

• Install and Start Orbit Enterprise Service
  • ..\server\program\bin64
• Request and Validate License:
  • EOS Console > License (See: Request and activate license)
  • Add user comment “Update from 11.0 to 11.1”
