License

This page describes the EOS Console tab “License”. Review, request and manage your Orbit server licenses.

The Orbit License Server is embedded in the Orbit EOS server, read more: Orbit License Server.

Type
Depending your license some application use restrictions will be applied : Orbit License Restrictions.

Status
The rightmost column indicates the license status :

• Green: valid license
• Orange: license is due to expire within next 10 days
• Red: invalid license

Register

To request a license you will need an account and login onto our website. Register and confirm your registration via the confirmation email. Check your junk mail, the activation email may be blocked by your spam filter.

Request License
Select your products and request a license online :

1. Select the required product in the license table and choose the license type from the drop down list.
2. Repeat this action for all required products.
3. Request a license for the selected products using the “Request License” button in the upper-right corner.
   You will be redirected to the online license request page.
4. Confirm your request on the online license request page.

Activate License
Once your license request has been validated by the Orbit sales team, you will receive your Orbit product licenses via email.

1. Select the required product in the license table
2. Copy and Paste (Ctrl + v) the entire license string to the “License Key” entry field below the license tabel
3. Validate the copied license string by clicking the according “Validate” button right from the the license entry field.
4. Check the license status and repeat these steps for all the listed / requested products.

Restart Service
When updating an existing valid license a service restart is required. A restart is not required when validating your initial licenses.
