Measure in panorama images

Open the panorama measure window using the according measure icon from the Image Toolbar.

Measure Mode

Using the panorama measure window point cloud measurements and measurements based on triangulation are supported.

Specify measure mode
Specify the measure mode (a) using point cloud or (b) by triangulation in 2 views by flagging “Use Point Cloud” in the panorama measure window.
This flag will be disabled if there is no point cloud available.

Activate measure function

Start the desired panorama measure function with a single click on the corresponding icon.

Measurements

Position
A single click measurement

Distance
A two click measurement. The second click stops the measurement.

Line
A multi-click line measurement ending with a double click.

Area

Volume
First and second click define one edge, a third click defines the opposite edge and stops the measurement.

Results

Displayed coordinate system
Point X,Y,Z measurements can be displayed in publication coordinates, WGS84 decimal degrees and WGS84 degrees minutes seconds (Lat/Lon).
The publication coordinate system is set by the administrator. When hovering above the buttons to switch display crs a tooltip with the complete coordinate system name will appear.

Copy Results
Using the “Copy Results” button the displayed measure results will be copied to the clipboard. Results are copied with an id and tab separated ready to be pasted directly in your spreadsheets. The measurement ID is reset to 1 when opening the publication and increases by every successful measurement.

The ground level is calculated from the photo position Z and camera height.
