  - Open resource 
  - Drag and drop the vector .shp file
  - Optimize resource into an .ovt file (choose source and target CRS, target name, filtering options)
  - Start optimization
  - Visually verify the .ovt rendering in Map 2D and Map 3D 
  - Add resource to the Local Catalog
