====== Having Troubles ? ======

===== My legend disappeared, after re-opening the Workspace. =====

Perhaps you just applied and closed the legend file, without saving it. The Workspace only saves the name of your legend, not the legend itself.

===== The Legend options in the Dataset menu are disabled. =====

The current [[..:datasets:selected_dataset|selected Dataset]] is not visible. Maybe your zoom scale is outside the dataset's scale limits : Check it out in the Dataset Properties.

===== The Object Inspector doesn't show all the objects I clicked on. =====

You may have a different dataset set as [[..:datasets:selected_dataset|selected Dataset]]. Check the object selection mode in your [[..:workspace:preferences|Preferences]] window : set to "All Datasets" and try again. The Object Inspector will show in which dataset the selected objects reside.

===== When trying to select objects, it doesn't work =====

You may have a dataset set as [[..:datasets:selected_dataset|selected Dataset]] which does not contain the object you pointed at. Change the object selection mode in your [[..:workspace:preferences|Preferences]] window to "All Datasets". Then try again. The Object Inspector will show in which dataset the selected objects reside.

===== The Object Inspector doesn't pop up when selecting objects. =====

The automatic popup setting in your [[..:workspace:preferences|Preferences]] window is disabled. See [[..:workspace:preferences|Preferences]].

===== The Viewport is empty, even though a Dataset or multiple Datasets should be visible. =====

It could be that the co-ordinates of the Datasets are located outside the current Viewport. Use the view menu options " Zoom to Dataset extent" or "Zoom to full extent" to adjust the Viewport.

Also, check carefully the graphic representation of the dataset : point information may become hard to see if the symbols are defined very small, while viewing a large area.

Third, there might be a problem with the data. The dataset may contain objects with co-ordinates that are out of bounds. This may result in a much too large viewing area while data appears in most likely opposite corners. This is often the case with ill-structured CAD files.

===== When zooming in/out, the Viewport doesn't refresh. =====

The scale of the Viewport lies beyond the [[..:datasets:managing:viewoptions|scale limits]] of the Dataset(s). Reset the scale limits, using the Dataset menu or the right-click menu of the Datasetlist.
