====== Maptips ====== If you are embedding OFM, you can use the setMapTipLayer() function to change the active maptip layer. ===== Background ===== Maptips in OFM are an extension of maptips in Orbit GIS. In OrbitGIS, each model of a dataset can be configured to have a maptip attribute, which is then used as a tooltip. To enable the display of maptips in OFM, you need to make sure of 2 things : - Is the dataset properly configured? (maptip attribute defined) ((Maptips are defined in the resource description .ord file!)) - Is OFM properly configured? ==== Configure your Dataset ==== You need to configure your dataset properly, so it knows which of its attributes can be used as maptips. This is convered in more detail on this page of the Orbit GIS documentation. ==== Configure OFM ==== If you used the Publish to the Web wizard, you will already have specified your maptip layer and won't need to do anything else. The bottomline is that the following configuration tag must appear in your map configuration file (OrbitFlashMapConfig.xml). You can only specify one dataset to be used for maptips. DataSetName
