====== View Backing ====== This page documents the optional View Backing functionality of OFM. View backing means that with every view, a parallel view is requested with the same pixel size, but much larger bounds. This second view is then stretched and placed behind the current view. The effect is that the user can pan around and see less or no white (background) regions. When this parameter is not specified it defaults to 1, which effectively disables the functionality. If you were to specify ''2'', OFM would for each view : - Request **view** - Request **backing view** * Same pixelsize * Double system width and height (depending on the provided factor) - Show the **view** and stretch/position the **backing view** behind it. ===== Example ===== Example tag to add to UI configuration file (or add the parameter tag to the existing ''OFMParameters'' tag) : ViewBackingFactor 3
