===== How to Publish ? =====

EOS Resources can be published on the web using the IOS extension and the Orbit FlashMap viewer. The internet, represented by IOS, connects to EOS as a predefined user.  EOS and it's IOS extension are embedded in the Orbit FlashMap product download.

  - Create and Manage the 'ios' user
  - Allow access to resources to this user
  - Publish these resources to make them available to the WMS protocol
  - Now access the data through any WMS client
    => You can use the 'Publish To The Web' option from Orbit GIS to create a web page instantly.



===== The 'ios' user to EOS =====

All internet access to EOS is managed by the IOS extension.  IOS itself acts as a single user to EOS.  This user is defaulted to 'ios' with password 'ios'. You should create [[manage_users|this user account]] and [[manage_permissions|set resources viewable]] for this user.

Then use the [[eos:console:export_capabilities|Publish to the Web]] export function in the EOS Console. This function will generate an //OGC WMS compatible Capabilities// file. To create this file properly, all and only those resources that are made available to user 'ios' will be accessed. 


===== Publish Web Pages using Orbit GIS =====

Now use Orbit GIS to create a Workspace and [[orbitgis:print:publish_to_the_web|publish that workspace to the web]] as a configuration file for the [[http://www.orbitgis.com/index.php?c=products/ofm/ofm_home.htm|Orbit FlashMap]] browser viewer.
