  - Define which Type of Mapping data you have.
     * Mobile Mapping
      * Data collected on the ground with a static system
      * Data collected on the ground with a moving system
     * Aerial Mapping
      * Data collected in the air with any moving system
     * Oblique Mapping
      * Data collected in the air with a system that has a classic oblique approach of 4 cameras mounted with a 45-degree angle
  - Raw mapping data needs to be imported and processed into an [[214:technology:3d_mapping:about_resources|Orbit Run.]]
  - A Mapping Run is based on a [[214:desktop_ext:mapping:manage_import:templates|Template]]. Download the needed Template and prepare your data accordingly.
  - Use the [[214:desktop_ext:mapping:manage_import:index|Import Mapping Run Procedure]] to create a new Run or [[214:desktop_ext:mapping:manage:runs|Manage existing runs]]
