When the option is deactivated, it is the [[204:desktop:preferences:selection|Preferences Object Selection Mode]] which determines if you can only select objects from the [[204:desktop:dataset:operations_indicators#Active_Dataset|activated dataset]] or from [[204:desktop:dataset:operations_indicators#Dataset_visibility|all visible datasets]]. * Annotations and Constructions have their proper selection function.
