The Workspace Sidebar allows to switch between different Layouts and add backdrops. 

===== Layout  ======

Views can be arranged horizontally, vertically, or tiled. 
Additionally, a reference map can be added and positioned according to your preferences.

===== 3D Backdrops ======

The 3D Backdrops are designed for aesthetic purposes. 
A bright blue sky on the horizon speaks more to the imagination than a flat dark background, certainly when creating a point cloud fly-through movie.

Choose one of the listed backdrop images from the list. The selected image will be highlighted with a frame. 
The chosen backdrop will be applied to all open views in 3D viewmode.
