====== GPS Photography ====== In the 'GPS Photography' tab, imported GPS photos can be selected, viewed, edited and inventorised. All imported GPS photos are added to the 'GPS Photos' dataset and visualised on map as an arrow. Additional photos from a GPS camera can be imported. {{ orbitgis_extensions_mi:asset_inventory:gps_photography:use:gps_tab_v4.png?nolink }} \\ \\ ===== GPS photos ===== A GPS photo contains the following properties: * **Location**: A GPS photo is visualised on map as an arrow. The location of the arrow represents the point of view. It is the location where the photo was taken (= location of the photographer), not the location of the photographed object. Note that GPS coordinates are based on the WGS-84 reference system. * **Direction**: The direction of the arrow indicates the direction in which the photographer was looking. The photographed object can therefore be found in the indicated direction. * **Type**: Photos are grouped by type (eg trees, street furniture, roadworks, ...). The available types can be found in a dropdownlist next to "Selected TAG :". The color of an arrow indicates to which type it is assigned. Further details are provided in the legend of the 'GPS photos' dataset. * **The actual picture**: A selected photo is displayed in the central part of the 'GPS Photography' tab. \\ \\ ===== Import Photos ===== The GPS Photography procedure “Import photos” allows the Orbit user to import new GPS photos. === Procedure === - **Launch** the procedure "Import photos".\\ \\ {{orbitgis_extensions_mi:asset_inventory:gps_photography:use:open_procedure_v1.png?nolink}} \\ \\ - **Import** : import GPS photos - Browse to the folder where your GPS photos are located. \\ If photos include a TAG, they will automatically be assigned to the according type\\ \\ {{orbitgis_extensions_mi:asset_inventory:gps_photography:use:import_photos_v2.png?nolink300 }}Select the according folder \\ \\ {{:orbitgis_extensions_mi:asset_inventory:gps_photography:use:open_folder.png?nolink300}} \\ \\ \\ \\ - Click the 'Import Photos' button \\ Depending on the image size and the number of photos this might take a couple of minutes. \\ \\ {{orbitgis_extensions_mi:asset_inventory:gps_photography:use:import_photos_tags.png?nolink300}} \\ \\ - A popup window automatically opens when the import of gps photos has completed.
