====== Prepare UAS Data using Pix4D ====== After processing your UAS project using Pix4D software, you have created the following datasets: * a Dense Point Cloud (las) * an Orthomosaic (tif) ==== Dense Point Cloud ==== Because the import procedure for Pix4D processed data into 'Orbit UAS Mapping' already takes care of the conversion of a las file into an opc file, no further preparatory action is needed. ==== Convert Orthomosaic ==== Although the use of the ortho is not necessary to create an Orbit Run, you find here a short description. Convert the Orthomosaic tif file into omi format to make it easiliy available in 'Orbit US Mapping' taking multiresolution and image compression into account, creating a fast view access. This is done using functionality in the 'Orbit UAS Mapping' software. \\ See further detailed information on how to convert in [[https://orbitgt.com/kb/170/desktop/tools/convert_data|https://orbitgt.com/kb/170/desktop/tools/convert_data]] ==== Export the undistorted images ==== The only function you still have to perform in the Pix4D software is saving the undistorted images. Process > Save Undistorted Images - Select 'Process' in the main menu of Pix4D, and select the method 'Save Undistorted Images'. Pix4D will start immediatly saving the undistorted images under the projects folder > 1_initial > images > undistorted_images ==== Cameras ==== All information about cameras is already saved by Pix4D under the projects folder > 1_initial > params. ==== Generate Report ==== A pdf-report is automatically saved under the projects folder > 1_initial > report. ==== Import the Project ==== Now you are ready to import the project into 'Orbit UAS Mapping'.
