====== Google Earth import for Orbit ======
**Google Earth import for Orbit** is an extension to OrbitGIS X and provides the tool to import "map locations" and/or "map backgrounds" from GoogleEarth. \\
Be sure GoogleEarth is downloaded on your pc. Follow the instruction in the video below. \\
**Location Import:**
* Open GoogleEarth by clicking 'open Google Earth'
* Zoom in to or search for your location in GoogleEarth
* Copy this location by Ctrl-Shift-C (or Edit < Copy Location) in GoogleEarth
Be sure that the GoogleEarth window is active during the copy action
* Set your coordinate system in OrbitGIS
* 'Get Location' will copy this location into your Orbit mapcanvas \\ \\
**Background Import: **
* Set your scale for the background in OrbitGIS
* Refine your location in OrbitGIS - GoogleEarth will be zoom to your scale
* Copy this background to OrbitGIS by Ctrl-Alt-C (or Edit < Copy Image) in GoogleEarth \\ Be sure you don't pan or move in GoogleEarth before copy is executed!
* Background image will be placed in the OrbitGIS mapcanvas on right scale/crs/location \\ If you saved already a UAS Mapping project, the image will be saved in the 1_preflight directory. If not, the software will demand a save location.
A background can be imported at any time. If you already have your location and scale in OrbitGIS, just click the 'refine location' button.
