====== Map 3D Zoom Functions ======

The Map Zoom functions make it possible to zoom in and out on the map to get the map view of your preference. \\ 
A zoom changes the map scale but will not adjust the map rotation or center (except for zoom via context menu, see below).

==== Zoom via Mouse Wheel ====

Zoom in or out the map to the mouse pointer map position using your mouse wheel. This function is always available, even if an other function is active. \\

|  Scroll  |  Zoom  | The mouse-wheel allows a fast to the yellow point cloud hover. This function is always available even when an other function is activated. \\ The yellow point cloud hover should be visible for a proper use of the scroll zoom function. \\ - Zoom center is the location of the the yellow 3D / point cloud hover \\ - Zoom speed depends the distance between the current view point and the yellow 3D / point cloud hover, the bigger the distance the faster the zoom. \\ - Zoom direction can be set by the overall Orbit zoom setting via the [[110:orbitgis:preferences:mapcanvas|Map Preferences]]. |

==== Zoom via Compass Rose ====

Zoom in or out by using the according + or - buttons of the [[110:orbitgis:mapcanvas:navigation_3d:compass_rose|Compass Rose]]. The current map scale will be adjusted with factor 2.

==== Zoom via Map Context Menu ====

Center and zoom in or out the map view via the Map 3D right click [[110:orbitgis:mapcanvas:map_3d:context_menu|Map Context Menu]] to the clicked location
