The Overview window shows a selection of the datasets available in the dataset list. You select the datasets to be viewed in the Overview Window manually (see below). Reference to the main map Viewport

The Overview window is used to both see an overview of one of more datasets and to indicate the location of the main map view upon those datasets. The location of the map view is defined by a blue box or, for a smaller area, a crosshair line.

You can drag this box around to pan the map view. Outside this box, you can click and drag a box to specify the zoom and area viewed in the map view.

Managing the Overview Window.

The visibility of the Overview Window is set using the View Menu. The window can be resized by dragging its boundaries.

Clear the Overview Window.

To clear the Overview Window, change visibility of all Datasets individually to OFF.
