Clip and Extract

The Clip and Extract tool extracts all visible data into a new dataset. The data to be extracted is limited by an area definition, set by the Fence tool.
All visible datasets are extracted. Switch the datasets on/off according to your wish.

Step 1

Use the Fence Editor to define an area. When extracting, objects are left intact. Every object partly or completely within the area, is accepted for extraction.
When switching the 'Clip' option on, objects are cut on the fence line and parts of the objects outside the area is not withheld.

Step 2

Click 'Extract' to execute and save the extraction in a new file.

The file appears automatically in the Dataset List after saving.

The blue contour is the Fence and shows that the Extraction is clipped correctly.
