OCR Resources

OCR stands for Orbit Composite Resource. This resource type uses an index to access a set of other resources and present it to Orbit GIS as a single read-only resource. The set of resources used can be a fixed list or a dynamically determined list, e.g. each file in subfolder X.

OCR is very handy for accessing files that are modified outside the user�??s domain. At each access of the resources, OCR will scan from disc again, making sure the newest versions are presented to the user. All that is optimised with tiled caching techniques.

OCR Resources can be assembled by Orbit GIS using the Workspace which makes it extremely easy.
