Legend Editor : Pie Chart
Open the Legend Editor Pie Chart
- from menu : Datasets > Legend Editors… > Pie Chart
- right-click menu in the Dataset List : right-click dataset > Legend Editor… > Pie Chart
- Pie Charts are used to display a range of items per spatial object.
- In Orbit GIS, pie chart slices are defined either per attribute, or by classification of an attribute within the object.
- Define the graphic appearance of the pie chart, title and labels in the pie chart appearance box.

Pie Chart Slices by Attribute
In Orbit GIS, an object can hold several records or attributes per attribute set. Each slice of the pie chart is defined by the (first) value of an attribute.
Use this charting technique to graphically represent the value attribute according to the other chosen attribute values per object.

| Attribute | Select an attribute for the slice using the drop-down box. Invalid attributes of data type string or boolean aren't selectable |
| Color | Choose a fill color from the color picker window for the slice or use auto color |
| Label | Enter a label name for the slice or use auto label |

Pie Chart Slices by Classification
In Orbit GIS, an object can hold several records or attributes per attribute set. Each record of an attribute set of an object can have one or more values. This means that one attribute record can have several values.
Use this charting technique to graphically represent the different values of one attribute per object.

Labels
- Select an attribute as pie chart title
- Select a label for all slices
- Place a total (row count) in the centre of the pie chart, either boxed in a background color.

| Determine by | Select an attribute which value will determine the actual pie size. If no attribute was selected the radius minum value will be the fixed pie chart size. |
| Radius minimum | Enter the minimum radius of the pie chart. |
| Radius maximum | Enter the maximum radius of the pie chart. The pie chart size will be interpolated between radius maximum en minimum according to the attribute value. |
| Size Unit | Select the size unit of entered radius. See size settings |
The size can be determined by an attribute value :
- choose the attribute that must determine the actual size,
- define a minimal and maximal size of the pie chart in pixels on screen,
- the pie chart size will be interpolated according to the attribute value.
(You can also use meta-attributes such as row count (amount of records for this attribute))
