All Area Parameters
Area parameters come in 2 parts :
- Outline parameters. Outline parameters are equal to the Line Parameters.
Outline
Basic
Outline parameters are equal to the Line Parameters. For more explanation see Line Parameters.
Line
Outline parameters are equal to the Line Parameters. For more explanation see line parameters line settings.
Symbol Repetition
Outline parameters are equal to the Line Parameters. For more explanation see line parameters symbol repetition.
Fill Parameters
Fill parameters allow filling in 4 ways :
Basic
| Parameter | Comment |

| Fill Visibility | Tick to activate the area filling. |
| Color | Choose a fill color. |
| Transparency | Set the transparency percentage of the total area fill from opaque to completely transparent. |
Gradient
| Parameter | Comment |
|---|---|
| Gradient Preset | Optionally select a predefined gradient fill. |
| Gradient Type | Select the type of gradient fill (none, top, bottom, left, right, top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right). |
| 2nd Color | Choose a 2nd gradient color. |
Texture
- A texture fill will use an image as a tile to fill the area.
| Parameter | Comment |
|---|---|
| Texture file | Select the image file to be used for texture filling. See Texture. |
| Image Width | Enter the image width and select a size unit (point on screen, mm on paper, meter on scale). |
| Image Height | Enter the image height and select a size unit (point on screen, mm on paper, meter on scale). |
| Transparency | Set the transparency percentage of the label from opaque to completely transparent. |
Hatching
- A Hatching fill will use parallel lines to fill the area.
- You can specify the appearance of the lines using line parameters.
- If you wish to use a second hatch line, use the right half of the editor window to fill in equal parameters.
| Parameter | Comment |
|---|---|
| First Hatch Line | Tick to activate a single hatch line. |
| Second Hatch Line | Tick to activate a second hatch line. |
| Angle | Set the angle to draw the hatch line. |
| Distance | Enter the distance between parallel hatch lines and select a size unit (point on screen, mm on paper, meter on scale). |
| Line | Click on the “Line” button to edit the line parameters of the hatch line. |
