Creating the WMS Capabilities File
To allow the IOS extension to EOS to behave as OGC WMS server, the EOS server's capabilities need to be published. This can be done automatically from the EOS Console. Whenever resources are added, this file will have to be regenerated.
Because the capabilities file describes the bounds of each dataset, they must all be accessed and analysed. This might be a lengthy and (for some resources more than others) resource intensive operation. During this time, the EOS Console may appear unresponsive. If it takes more than a few minutes, consider looking at the service logfile.
You can create a capabilities file by clicking the 'world-icon' toolbar button. The EOS license must include IOS permissions to enable this button :
