Contour Lines

This page describes how use the extension “Contour Lines”

Main Toolbar > Extract > Contour Lines

The “Contour Lines” extension makes it possible to create a dataset with contour lines from a point cloud dataset.

Contour lines area lines at the same Z level.

Use the generic workflow for Point Cloud Based Extensions to define the source file.

The method for the range of interest is 'Area'.

Use this parameters to influence creation of contour lines.

Delegate the process to the task manager or start now.

Contour lines are saved in a new vector dataset that is automatically added to the data set list.

Each line stores its height Z-value.
