What's New Version 20.9

Users can temporarily add local resources to a publication by browsing in the resource sidebar or drag and drop the resource. KML resources and all orbit supported formats can be added.

Multiple new settings make it possible to customize the viewer to your own preferences. The left sidebar can be switched with the right viewer menus and the visualization of the footprints can be modified by disabling or setting the smallest scale for the footprints, trajectory and envelope of a mapping resource.

Various updates on the layout of the sidebar menu make the 3DM Viewer easier and cleaner. The three-staged left sidebar makes a full-screen viewer possible.

The 3DM Viewer includes all 3DM Core improvements.

• Set the timeline for the entire Workspace
  In the viewer settings, the timeline can be set by workspace so that the timeline applies to all views.
• Open Supported Resources as Local Resources
  
  • Local resources can be temporarily added to the 3DM Viewer via the resource sidebar or drag and drop.
  • Select the corresponding files to add the resource. For example, select the ord, olg, osl and ovf to add vector data.
  • Local resources have to be Orbit Supported and can be a mobile mapping run, a point cloud, an image, or vector data.
• Open KML as Local Resource
  KML files are supported to add as a local resource.
• Set the Smallest Scale and Visibility of Resource Footprints on Reference View
  The renamed Footprints legend for mapping resources have a new parameter to change the smallest scale and visibility for the available envelope, trajectory, and photo positions. Reset to default will change parameters to start values.
• Hide Footprint Legend for Mapping Resources in Publication Setup
  The footprint legend in the viewer can be hidden via the publication setup.
• Improve Planar Footprints on Reference View
  The thickness of the planar footprints is increased. In combination with setting the smallest scale, this improves the visualization of the planar footprints.
• Switch View Mode Planar to Spherical Image opens closest image to Planar viewpoint
  
• Scale Bar on Reference View
  A scale bar is available in the bottom right corner of the reference view. The numerical scale popup when hovering over the scale bar.
• Limit Display of Vector Data Labels by Resource View Depth
  The view depth of vector data is now also applicable to the labels.
• Removed Close Action from the Menus
  Menus are closed by clicking outside the window or the cross in the upper right corner. The close button is removed from all menus.
• Adjust Image Brightness via View Action Menu
  The image brightness can be changed via the “- +” indicators in the view action menu for mobile mapping, uas, and oblique views.
• Optionally hide Geocoding Search
  In the general viewer settings, the geocoding search can be set to 'No Geocoding'. Searching by coordinate can be done by entering x-coordinate,y-coordinate.
• Visualize Focus and Hover Position
  The focus and hover positions are visualized in green and red consecutively in the reference view. This option can be enabled in the general viewer settings.
• Render Mode-Specific Maximum Photo Distance
  In the viewer settings, the maximum photo distance wherein an image is opened, can be set for every view mode.
• Play Function on Oblique
  The play function can also be used in oblique views.
• Viewing Direction retained with Manual Sequence Actions
  The viewing direction of an image is retained when using the next/previous sequence action.
• Synchronize Reference from Views
  This general setting makes it possible to synchronize the reference view when panning in another view.
• Search and Filter using Tags
  Every list now has an invisible tags column for searching.
• Description as the last Column
  The description is now set as the last column in list pages.

• Contact Name not shown in Login Panel if Concurrent Users exceeded
  The contact name and email address is now visualized when the concurrent users of a publication are exceeded.
• Re-organized Viewer Settings
  The layout of the viewer settings are re-arranged to improve usability and accessibility.
• Show Slice View on 3D enabled by default
  The setting 'Show slice view on 3D views' is enabled by default.
• Adding Missing Tags

The 3DM Publisher includes the 3DM core and 3DM Viewer improvements.

• Admin and personal User Bookmarks for Publisher
  A bookmark creates a link that can be shared with anyone that has access to the publication.
• Optionally include Workspace Settings to Publication Bookmark
  This options enabled to save the settings from a publication to a bookmark.
• Search and Filter using Tags
  On list pages, invisible column tags is added. This can be used to search on.
• Description as the last column
  The description is now set as the last column in list pages.
• Autocomplete on Tags
  Typing for tags will show the existing tags and autocomplete the tag by hitting enter.
• Import multiple Users
  Multiple users can be added from a csv or txt file. Every line represents a user and the values have to be comma-separated.
• Import multiple Resources
  Multiple resources can be added from a csv or txt file. Every line represents a resource and the values have to be comma-separated.
• Table Consistency for Displaying Tags and Descriptions
  
• Tags for Publications
  Tags can now also be added to publications that enable searching on tags in the list page.
• Secondary Table Sort on Name
  The secondary table sort is now alphabetically on name instead of ascending ID number.
• Add Multiple Resources to Resource Group
  In the setup of a resource group, there's a new slide to toggle on multiple resources. The first selected resource defines the type of the resource group.
• Publication Overview with Login, Users, and Session
  The login indicates if the publication is public or login is required. The session column shows how many times the publication is opened at that time.
• Usage Page for Publication
  The usage page shows when and by who a publication is used. This list corresponds with the log_publisher_publication_login.log file in the publisher installation.

• Context Menu for Detail Pages
  Via the new context menu for detail pages, the user can switch between the detail pages.
• Add non-available Resources to Resource Group is Disabled
  Resources that aren't available cannot be toggled on in the setup of a resource group.

• The Import Multiple Resource is renamed to Upload Multiple.
• 3dtiles Resources type is changed from Unknown to Textured Mesh.
• Gltf and glb resources have the type 3D Model instead of Textured Mesh.
• Extract all confirmation popup windows out of the pages to a higher level

• Deleting a resource didn't remove the resource from its publications. Therefore, the publication could not be duplicated.
  When a resource that was part of a resource group or publication was deleted, the given resource group or publication became uneditable until the application was refreshed.
• The number of users next to a publication didn't correspond with the number of shared users.

The 3DM Cloud includes the 3DM core and 3DM Viewer improvements.

• Search and Filter using Tags

• Set Custom Publication Token
  The user can customize the link to a publication by setting the publication token via the context menu in the publication list.
• Generic Context Menu for Resource & Resource Group List pages
  The context menu for the list pages for individual resources and resource groups are now generic.

• Update and simplify 3D Models into Annotation Objects
  3D Models are renamed to Annotation Objects and can have tags to search on. The layout to upload a thumbnail is consistent with the upload of an image.
• Removed Minimum Characters for Search
  Table search starts from the first character instead of three characters.
• Remember Search and Filtering
  List page functionality includes remembering the search and sort after going to another page.
• Hidden Market Place
  The market place is hidden from the console and viewer.
• Hidden Sample Publications and Hybrid Resources
  Sample publications and hybrid resources are hidden in the console.

• Extract all confirmation popup windows out of the pages to a higher level.
• Thumbnail upload component is consistent with the image upload component.
• Console and viewer menu items are rearranged and renamed in line with the order of usage.
• General layout update on the data centers list page. The data center type is removed and hybrid resources are hidden.
• Table consistency in list pages for displaying tags and descriptions.

• Deleting a user deleted all the publications created by that user.
• Guest users could access guest user publications in edit mode.
• Newly created generic resource group wouldn't open in the viewer.
