Orbit Publisher Update 22.X

From version 21.1, the Orbit 3DM Catalog Client is removed from the Orbit 3DM Publisher setup and replaced by the standalone product Orbit 3DM Import And Upload Tool.
A license for this new product is included with the Publisher maintenance, and available from your https://my.orbitgt.com portal.

Steps to Update from 20.X or 21.X to Current Version

Stop Orbit Service

  1. Close all Orbit Desktop Clients.
  2. Stop the Orbit Service.
    • Run batch : <install_folder>/server/program/bin64/ServiceStop.bat.
  3. Verify the Operating System Services and the current status of “Orbit Enterprise Service”.

Delete Orbit Client

  1. Delete the following folders:
    • <install_folder>/client (When updating from 20.X only)

Update Orbit Server

  1. Delete the following folders:
    • <install_folder>/server/program/log/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/services/dox (When updating from 20.X only)
    • <install_folder>/server/program/software/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/wwwroot/viewer/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/wwwroot/viewer_sdk/
    • <install_folder>/server/program/wwwroot/viewer_sdk_javascript/
  2. Merge folders and Replace existing files :
    • Copy folder <update_package>/server/program/ and <update_package>/server/data/
    • Paste into <install_folder>/server/
  3. Rename the license configuration file
    • Rename file : <install_folder>/server/program/system/licenses_vXX.X.ini
    • Into : <install_folder>/server/program/system/licenses_v22.[X].ini (e.g. filename licenses_v22.1.ini for version 22.1)

Start Orbit Enterprise Service

  1. Start the Orbit Service.
    • Run batch : <install_folder>/server/program/bin64/ServiceStart.bat.
  2. Verify the Operating System Services and the current status “Running” of the “Orbit Enterprise Service”.
  3. Empty Cash and Hard Reload of the used browser when opening the Console.
