• Display Basemaps in Map 3D (GL)
  The basemap is now also displayed in Map 3D (GL).
• New Tool 'Create Grid'
  This tool will use the extent of the source dataset to create a grid vector dataset that can be defined by cell size or number of cells. The empty cells can be removed by enabling the corresponding checkbox.
• New Option Split Dataset by Area
  The tool Split Datasets has been extended with the option to split the dataset by area. The source file can be an opc or any supported vector format. For evert area, a new dataset will be created.
• New Vector Source Format 'Odb'
  Odb vector files can be directly converted and optimized into another vector format.
• New Dataset Properties 'Metadata'
  The metadata fields can be entered for both reference resources and mapping resources. The metadata properties are automatically filled in after uploading to 3DM Cloud and 3DM Publisher. The mapping resource procedure 'Metadata' redirects to this dataset property.
• Vector Dataset Structure Management
  • Filter Formula List in Vector Dataset Structure
    The dropdown list of formulas attributes now has an entry field where the list can be filtered on a specific word.
  • Update Attribute Datatype Correspond to Attribute Formula
    When setting the attribute rule to a formula, the datatype will automatically change to the datatype that corresponds with the formula. The datatype is fixed and cannot be changed to avoid conflict with measure/detection results.
• Autofill Collection Date Start and Stop
  Resources that have absolute GPS time can use the Autofill button to automatically fill in the collection data start and stop, using the min and max timestamp of the resource.
• Procedure to Reprocess Envelope and Trajectory Simplified
  The procedure to reprocess the envelope has been extended with the option to reprocess the trajectory simplified. The envelope will now use both the extent of the photo positions and pointcloud to calculate the envelope area.
• Update Delete Missing Panoramas/Planars
  
  • Original Cubic Image Faces are Wrongly Identified
    The face parts of cubic images are not identified anymore to be removed.
  • Cubic Image Face are Displayed as One Panorama in the Catalog

• Geocode by Linear Reference Dataset
  Line vector dataset (ovf or ovt) in the ..\program\system\linear_reference folder can be used in the upper search field to focus to a distance along the line dataset. The attribute ID or Name can be used to specify the object to search along. If one of these attributes is not available, the first object in the dataset will be used.

    At converting/optimizing an Obj into Web Ready 3D Scalable Mesh, the name of the Obj file is now set as the display name of the Web Ready 3D Scalable Mesh.

• Improved Mapping Run Selection in Extensions
  Mapping run-based extensions will automatically select an initial mapping run. First, the primary mapping extension is opened (if available). Then the following order is used: Mobile, Aerial and Oblique.
• Enabled Panning During Area Delimitation
  For extensions that require an area delimitation, it's now possible to pan in the map component while drawing the area.
• Set Image Play-Through Speed
  The speed of image play-through can be set in the aerial, mobile and oblique mapping preference.

• Use Shift to select multiple tasks in the task manager.
• UX Improvements
  • Tooltips on the convert/optimize icons indicate which kind of data will be converted/optimized.
  • ContextShare Upload Tool removed functionalities to improve usability.

• The image annotations didn't update when multiple views were opened and synchronize views was enabled.
• The panoramic image viewer didn't follow the chose zoom direction.
• Selecting/unselecting the model from a multimodel dataset didn't work as expected.
• The 2D tool 'Select Objects Within Fence' selected the wrong objects by using the full spatial extent of the objects.
• Mesh resource were not saved in a workspace.

The 3DM Content Manager includes all 3DM Core improvements.

• Delivery by segment didn't work directly. Closing and re-opening the delivery was required.

• Improved Verify Asset Inventory Workflow
  • The three buttons 'Accept', 'Reject' and 'To Review' make it possible to quickly update the verification attributes. To Review will clear the status attribute.
  • All opened image views are synchronized and focusing to the asset inventory object.
  • Navigate to a specific asset inventory object by entering the object ID. This removes the step of having to click multiple times to a specific object.
• Advanced Parameters are Change to All Parameters
  The window of advanced parameters has been renamed to all parameters and will also display all parameters. The sidebar parameters are used as quick and often used parameters.
• Display Parallel Extraction Tab at Start-up
  The parallel extraction tab was not displayed at start-up of the application. Map 3D had to be initialized before.
• Workflow for Point Vector Dataset for Rails
  
  • New Preset Configuration for Rails
    The preset configuration for rails now has the options points (new) and lines. The points configuration includes the X, Y, Z attributes and the calculated roll value between two points. This vector dataset can be directly used as path in the clash detection.
  • Enable Copy to Feature after Copy Points
    When printing lines and points for a rail measurements, the points can be saved first to the recordable point dataset. Followed by saving the line features to the recordable line dataset. Vice versa also works.

The 3DM Viewer includes all 3DM Core improvements.

• Manage Linear Reference Dataset
  • Define Linear Reference Dataset
    Line vector dataset (ovf or ovt) can be defined as a linear reference dataset in the resource specs & tags. A new item in the Viewer Catalog 'Linear References' appears where the linear reference datasets are listed.
  • Linear Reference Measurements
    After adding a linear reference dataset to the workspace, measurements will have extra results about the distance along the linear reference dataset.
  • Search by Linear Reference Dataset
    After adding a linear reference dataset to the workspace, the geocoding search field can be switched to search on a distance along the line object. The attribute ID or Name from the vector dataset can be used to specify the object to search along. If one of these attributes is not available, the first object in the dataset will be used.
• Support of 3D Web Ready Scalable Mesh
  The 3D web ready scalable mesh can be uploaded to the cloud and publisher to display in the 3DM Viewer.
• Clickable Mapping Resource Photo Positions
  The photo positions have been made clickable on the reference view and in the 3D views. The opened view with the corresponding view mode will move to that position. If no view is open with the corresponding view mode, a new view will be added to the workspace.
• Resource View Depth is Used to Make Object Unselectable
  The resource view depth now makes object unselectable (cfr. resource visibility).
• Switch to Other View Mode at Image Not Found
  At add/move view and no image found, the viewer will follow a waterfall effect to open an image. The search order is: current resource - resource group - other resource of same mapping type - other resource of different mapping type (mobile, aerial, oblique). If not requested, the resource visibility by view setting can be used to disable this functionality.
• Follow Zoom from Current Image at Open View
  The zoom level from the current view is retained in the newly opened view. Previously, the current view adjusted to the new view.
• Manage Navigation Gestures
  The new viewer settings item 'Navigation' can be used to define the navigation gestures for the left, middle and right mouse click. The possible actions are pan, rotate, zoom and zoom (continuous). The preset configurations will set the gestures to the corresponding application: google, OpenCitiesPlanner, Orbit and Itwin.
• Display Image Resource Name
  The new Image Views setting 'Display resource name' will add the resource name of the opened image to the view.
• Display Child Name of Resource Group in View Metadata
  In the image view metadata, the resource group name and resource child name are both displayed.
• Ignore Invalid Geocoding Bounding Box
  When the geocoding engine sends an invalid bounding box (for example, having two equal coordinates), the current zoom level on the reference view is retained. The returned geocoding coordinate is still used as a focus coordinate. This was also patched to version 21.7.
• Update Publication Enabled after Adding/Deleting Annotations
  After adding or deleting annotations, the publication can be saved.
• New Reference View Setting to Disable Overzooming
  After reaching the lowest zoom level of an otm, this setting can be used to allow further zooming on the reference view.
• New Play-through Quality and Speed Options
  
• Hover Appearance for Measure Settings
  The 3D hover appearance can be set via the measurement settings. Because of these new settings, a separate item for Measuring has been added to the viewer settings.
• Viewer Catalog Improvements
  • Manage Columns in Viewer Catalog
    Columns can be added and removed in the Viewer Catalog to enable filtering on specific attribute values. For example, searching on all resources with a specific collection date.
  • Display Options Depending on Available Resources
    Depending on which resources are added to the console (resources, basemaps, terrains or linear reference resources), the displayed viewer catalog options will change.
  • No Automatically Opened Viewer Catalog
    When a workspace didn't contain a resource, the viewer catalog was automatically opened. This function has been removed to improve usability.
• Close Viewer Pop-Up by Hitting ESC
  Any viewer pop-up (settings, catalog, metadata…) can be closed by hitting the keyboard ESC.

• The loading message at opening a new photo has been simplified to one loading spinner without any text or background.

• The resource group pointcloud legend was not saved in a publication.
• The view action menu to download a pointcloud was not visible in the slice view.
• The view action menu to download a pointcloud was not working when the workspace only had pointcloud resources.
• When the number of measurements was more than 50, they could not be properly displayed. This has been resolved by integrating a table where every page lists maximum 10 measurements.
• Add oblique view on reference view didn't open the correct image before panning in the oblique view.
• The relative view direction was not preserved at next/previous and play-through in mobile planar views.
• The limitation on measurement decimals was not applied to oordinates.

The 3DM Viewer SDK includes all 3DM Viewer improvements.

• New Symbols for Map Objects
  • The symbols from the Orbit DefaultSymbols library have been added to the available list of symbols0
  • Custom symbols can be added via URL.
• Limit Loaded Photo Positions to 10 000 at GetFootPrints2D
  The number of loaded photo positions are overall limited to 10 000 positions. Previously, every camera in every mapping resource could load up to 10 000 positions.
• Set Gesture Presets
  The new gesture presets for navigation can be set via the API.
• Edit Host Resource View Depth
  The view depth of host resources is enabled in the resource sidebar. Additionally, the global view depth is now also applied on host resources.

The 3DM Publisher includes the 3DM core and 3DM Viewer improvements.

• Add Spatial Type Metadata to Vector Resources
  The spatial type: point, line and area is now added as an attribute to vector resources.
• Publication Setup Saved in Bookmarks
  The setup of the opened publication is copied to the opened bookmark.
• Sort Publication List by Sessions
  Double-clicking on the sessions header will sort the publication by number of reserved sessions.
• Indication for Disabled Logging
  When the empty publication usage or publisher usage page is opened and logging is disabled, a message appears to toggle on the logging.
• Removed Publication Logins Table
  By adding the publication sessions table, the publication logins table has become obsolete and therefore removed.

• The spatial bounds of a resource group was not updated after using the select all button.

The 3DM Cloud includes the 3DM core and 3DM Viewer improvements.

• Add Spatial Type Metadata to Vector Resources
  The spatial type: point, line and area is now added as an attribute to vector resources.
• Activity Usage
  New usage pages have been added to the console to replace the removed statistics dashboard and are available for admin users and sharing managers. Every table can be downloaded as a csv to use in other software.

    Monitor publication sessions from guest and named users.
  • User Usage
    Monitor bookmark, publication and personal workspace sessions. Consult the throughput per user.
  • Account Usage
    Monitor all bookmark, publication and personal workspace sessions from named and guest users. Consult the overall throughput per time unit. Also list the top users with the highest throughput.
• Sort Publication List by Sessions
  Double-clicking on the sessions header will sort the publication by number of reserved sessions.
• New User Role 'Resource Uploader'
  The resource uploader can upload and download their own data. They cannot see other resources, create publications or view other users. This role is meant for user that are only delivering data.
