NCTech iSTAR Pulsar

This page describes the original NCTech Istar Pulsar mobile mapping resources for Orbit import.

Use the corresponding Orbit Import Template to import the described original data.
It is recommend to read first Orbit Mapping Resource.


Image files

  • Image type : Equirectangular panoramas.
  • Image resolution : 2: 1 ratio (360 deg by 180 deg).
  • File format : Each image is one *.jpg file.
  • File name : “frame_index” value of image positions file with added '0' in the beginning to have 10 characters name, see below.
  • Folder structure : all files in one folder.

Image positions file

  • File format : One *.txt or *.csv file.
  • File structure Rows : Each image is one record.
  • File structure Columns : Comma separated (char44), with exact headers of the columns as the example below, order of the columns does not matter as well as extra columns are allowed
  • Value “frame_index” : Filename as on disc\Filename as on disc trimmed of '0' in the beginning, without file extension
  • Value of Coordinates : latitude\longitude WGS84 (EPSG 4326).
  • Value “altitude” : Ellipsoidal or Orthometric height, decimal notation (point, char46), without a thousands separator.
