Merge DataSets

This page describes the additional tool “Merge DataSets”.

Map 2D > Tools 2D and 3D > … > Merge DataSets

Concepts

Merging is the GIS operation that creates a new single dataset based on two input datasets.

Source 1
First dataset to merge.

Source 2
Second dataset to merge.

Options

Mode

Merge Models
Models of the two input datasets will be merged. If they fit exactly, choose option “Exact Attribute Match”. If they aren't exactly the same, choose the option “Best Fit”.

Add Models
Models from the input datasets will be added to the merged datasets. Pay attention, some vector formats don't support more than one dataset models, see: Vector Data Structure

Convert

Press “Start” to merge the datasets.
