Prepare MM Data Horus

This page describes how to prepare Horus mobile mapping resources for Orbit.
Using the Horus Orbit import templates prepared resources can be imported into Orbit.

It is strongly recommend to read first Understand Mobile Mapping data in Orbit.

Trajectory

Currently no known Horus export.

Imagery

Panoramas

Image files

  • Files : *.jpg files, each image is one jpg file (rename .jpeg to .jpg)
  • File name : as in the “Frame” value of the photo position file, with prefix “equi_” and suffix “.jpg” (example: equi_5947.jpg)
  • Folder structure : all files in one folder

Image positions and orientations file

  • Files : one ascii *.txt file
  • Rows : each image is one record
  • Columns : Semicolon separated “;” (char59), headers, with exact order as the example below
  • Decimal values: Dot Separator “.” (char46)
  • Value “Frame” : Id of the photo
  • Value “Longitude”, “Latitude”, “Altitude” : use of geocentric WGS84 (EPSG 4326) is required at this time
