This page gives an overview of the Orbit Workspace and Main Menu as it is available for the Orbit standalone desktop products.

In Client Server :

• The Main Menu is not available for Orbit clients.
• Workspaces are organize on server side and are manged by the Orbit administrator via the EOS Console
  • Users and Workspaces
  • EOS Console : Workspaces

A workspace can be defined as a session or a range of settings in Orbit including a list of datasets and view preferences, e.g. :

• the MapCanvas scale, positions and Coördinate Reference System.
• the status for all datasets in the DataSet List

A workspace can be saved to a single file that bundles your choice of datasets and settings for an easy and fast recovery.
