Desktop Mobile Mapping viewer

1. Download and Install Adobe AIR (free) : http://get.adobe.com/air/
2. Download and Install Orbit Mobile Mapping viewer (free) : http://www.orbitgis.com/store/product/orbit-mobile-mapping-viewer
3. When installing, Adobe Air may display this image. This is normal : you can click “Install”.
   
4. The Mobile Mapping Viewer starts automatically.
5. Connect the Orbit Viewer to a Mobile Mapping Publisher or select one of the demo Publications.

When trying to install, you may encounter this error message :

This can be caused by the .air file residing on a non-local filesystem.

• A folder on a network-mounted drive.
• A folder on a location accessed using UNC notation.

Moving the .air file to your local desktop fixes this problem.

This can be caused by an incompatible Adobe Air installation. To fix this problem, follow these steps :

1. Uninstall Adobe Air via Control Panel > Programs and Features
2. Delete remaining AIR folder in the Adobe Application Data directory :
   • C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\AIR
   • Or enter %appdata% as location in the explorer and remove the Adobe subfolder AIR
3. Perform installation as in paragraph above.
4. Done !
